Dear parents,
Assalamu Alaikum,
Welcome to school year 2014/2015.
May Allah help us all to make it successful year Insha-Allah.
Hello everyone,
I am Falastine, My name came from a name of a country in the Middle East called Palestine. So when you call my name in Arabic language the P letter sound like F so my name become Falastine.
I have Master degrees in Chemistry and high diploma in education.
During my work for 15 year as a chemistry teacher in Jordan at one of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency schools I attended many trainings and workshops about methods of teaching science.
Here in Canada, from 2007 I became a teacher at the Islamic Foundation School in Toronto. From that time every year I attended and still attend training and workshops related to my work as a teacher to learn more about teaching methods also to enhance my teaching skills.
Recently I took training in the international language here in Canada.
1- Effective, fun and function activities for multilevel classes.
2- Environment supplementary materials.
3- Incorporating movement and action in language skills development management the class room.
For my personal level, I found myself enjoying teaching Arabic language for children at the school. Seeing the Jk and Sk students able to read give me special joy, especially at the end of the school year when I watch Sk students can read small story from three words and understand what it mean.
I would like to extend a worm welcome to the parents and students of the Islamic Foundation School where we strive to reach beyond expectation and achieve academic success.
As a teacher, I believe that learning Arabic is a big commitment and it is essential for preparing students to understand the Qura’n, Hadeths and other Islamic principles.
I also believe that parents are the best teachers and they are part and partners with teachers during their children learning process. This partnership can be through communication, the important of communication is to explain the strengths and weaknesses of the students so that parents and teachers will understand the message to help the students to achieving the best results.
The short and long vowels will also be assessed and they should be able to read simple words. This year is going to be a great education and cultural year for your children’s Arabic and Quranic voyage.
As your child teacher, I am very eager to help in any way I could to enhance your child learning process.Me personally and all our school staff are all working together to set an example for all the children, we are not just a teachers working in school, our duty to set the best example for the students to expose students to an Islamic environment in order to secure their future and to keep and protect their Identity as Muslims.
I am so confidante that we teachers and parents will be able to work together to achieve our goals.

You can teach a student a lesson for a day; but if you can teach him to learn by creating curiosity, he will continue the learning process as long as he lives.
